Surespan Champions Apprenticeships During National Week

Surespan, a pioneer in the field of access and escape solutions, is delighted to participate in the upcoming 17th National Apprenticeship Week (NAW), from Monday, 5 to Sunday, 11 February 2024.

Adhering to the ‘Skills for Life’ theme, Surespan and Walsall College are set to demonstrate the strength of their apprenticeship initiative, spotlighting the varied career prospects and practical learning opportunities it offers to those aspiring to enter the manufacturing domain.

National Apprenticeship Week 2024 is an occasion to acknowledge the significant role apprenticeships play in enriching individuals, businesses, and the economy, with enthusiasts from across the country showcasing the advantages and possibilities that come with apprenticeship programmes.

Surespan’s celebration will focus on the empowering stories of individual progression and legacy, featuring both first and second-generation apprentices within the organisation, like Claire and her daughter Hannah, and Nicky and her son Stephen, illustrating the profound impact of apprenticeships.

Office Manager Nicky Adams at Surespan voiced her excitement: “We are thrilled to open our doors to a new generation of apprentices and offer them the chance to learn and thrive within the manufacturing and engineering industry. Our apprenticeship programme not only provides a structured pathway for skill development but also paves the way for personal and professional growth.”

Surespan’s apprenticeship initiative is an invitation to immerse oneself in the manufacturing sector, offering tangible experience and the opportunity to earn while learning.

This programme is designed with the future in mind, incorporating leading-edge technology and sustainable practices to equip apprentices for a lasting career trajectory and new horizons.

The apprenticeship experience at Surespan is a comprehensive educational adventure, merging hands-on instruction with forward-thinking and environmental stewardship. This unique approach provides a viable alternative to conventional education paths, propelling apprentices into the manufacturing world devoid of the financial strains associated with university education.

The scheme emphasises the practical application of the latest technological innovations and green practices, preparing apprentices to make a significant impact on environmental sustainability. Participation in live projects elevates job readiness, providing apprentices with an advantageous position in the labour market.

Apprentices benefit from the mentorship of seasoned professionals, receiving guidance that nurtures both their personal and professional development. The programme’s community-centric approach encourages ongoing learning and self-improvement, reflecting Surespan’s investment in cultivating future industry experts.

Surespan is honoured to contribute to National Apprenticeship Week 2024, solidifying its dedication to fostering essential life skills and grooming the forthcoming cadre of industry leaders.

Through its apprenticeship initiative, Surespan not only enhances the job prospects of the youth but also advocates for innovation, sustainability, and a culture of perpetual learning within the manufacturing industry.
