Applebridge Geoenvironmental Awarded Spot on Severn Trent & Hafren Dyfrdwy Ground Investigation Framework

Applebridge Geoenvironmental, part of the Applebridge Family of construction companies, has proudly secured a place on the prestigious Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy Ground Investigation Framework. This marks a major achievement in the company’s development, affirming its growing influence in delivering essential infrastructure support.

The £36 million framework, which will run over three years, brings together 12 contractors tasked with providing vital ground investigation services. These works will underpin major capital schemes across both utility networks, including water and wastewater treatment facilities and pipeline routes extending across third-party land.

Applebridge Geoenvironmental will be responsible for conducting detailed ground investigations, preparing comprehensive reports, and interpreting site data to help define key design inputs for each project.

Anthony Owen, Managing Director of Applebridge Geoenvironmental, commented:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for Applebridge Geoenvironmental to contribute to a framework of this calibre. Securing our place reflects the depth of experience within our team. Being part of this framework strengthens our position in the Ground Investigation sector and enables us to support infrastructure projects that are vital to the communities served by Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy.”

Delivered in accordance with the ICE Specification for Ground Investigation (Third Edition, May 2022), the framework places a strong emphasis on precision and reliability. Applebridge Geoenvironmental’s team—already experienced with this framework through previous roles—was a key factor in the successful award.

Rebecca Vale, Category Manager at Severn Trent, said:
“We are pleased to welcome Applebridge Geoenvironmental to our ground investigations framework. We’ve got a massive £12bn of investment planned for the next five years and support from specialist companies like Applebridge in the early stages of any project helps to ensure a smooth build programme. We are looking forward to working with them across AMP8.”

As a member of the Applebridge Family, Applebridge Geoenvironmental is aligned with a culture of innovation, collaboration, and consistent delivery. This framework award further strengthens its position within the industry, with a clear focus on shaping the future of ground investigation in critical UK infrastructure.
